M. Bancroft McMurphy, D.M.D.
Dr. M. Bancroft McMurphy was born and raised in Mobile. He graduated from UMS-Wright High School, Rhodes College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham Dental School. After dental school, he obtained specialty training in orthodontics and periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. McMurphy is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Middle Bay Study Club. He also serves as the Secretary/ Treasurer of the Mobile Area Dental Society.
Despite the fact that he spends most time providing orthodontic care for children and adolescents, his dual training gave him tremendous experience in the orthodontic treatment of adults, including those who have experienced tooth loss and gum disease.
He participates in the Give-Kids-A-Smile program, and serves as chairman for the National Dental Health Month Screening and the Smile Contest.
When he is not working, he enjoys exercising, spending time with his wife Andrea and daughters Madeline and Margaret, and being outdoors. His outdoor activities include jogging, hunting and fishing.
